Founders
Cryptolog was founded in September 2001 by three partners: Alexandre Stern, Julien Stern and Thomas Pornin.
Alexandre Stern - President
Prior to founding Cryptolog, Alexandre worked alongside the Director of Strategy at the CS Communications & Systems group. He is a business graduate of HEC Paris and the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University.
Julien Stern - R&D Director
Prior to founding Cryptolog, Julien worked for several multinational companies in the area of cryptography research, including IBM, AT&T, Intertrust and Lucent Technologies. He holds a PhD in cryptography from ENS Lyon.
Thomas Pornin - Chief Technology Officer
Prior to founding Cryptolog, Thomas carried out fundamental research in the field of symmetrical cryptography and worked for Gemplus. He has published a number of scientific articles on symmetrical cryptography, and holds a PhD in cryptography from ENS Paris.
